Giving back:  it's what moves us forward

GPN is proud to support the following non-profit organizations as part of our commitment to making a difference.

The Pan-Mass Challenge raises money for life-saving cancer research and treatment at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute through an annual bike-a-thon that crosses the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Since its founding in 1980, the PMC has successfully melded support from committed cyclists, volunteers, corporate sponsors and individual contributors. All are essential to the PMC's goal and model: to attain maximum fundraising efficiency while increasing its annual gift. Our hope and aspiration is to provide Dana-Farber's doctors and researchers with the necessary resources to discover cures for all cancers.

Optometry Giving Sight is the only global fundraising initiative that specifically targets the prevention of blindness and impaired vision due to uncorrected refractive error – simply the need for an eye exam and a pair of glasses.
OGSTransparentLogo.pngMore than 600 million people around the world are blind or vision impaired because they do not have access to the eye examination and glasses they need. Your donations allow Optometry Giving Sight to fund the solution by supporting programs that:

Train – local eye care professionals and;
Establish – vision centres for sustainability to;
Deliver – eye care and low cost glasses.

fields of hope.pngFields of Hope is a project of On Eagles Wings Ministries (OEWM).  OEWM has a mission to prevent females from falling victim to sex trafficking, offer assistance to those still trapped, and restore those who have survived by offering hope, empowerment, and a brighter future.  The organization provides valuable job skills training, spiritual mentorship, counseling, and accountability. They also partner with local businesses who offer hands-on job training.

VisionFoundation1.pngVision Foundation. In March, a team of volunteers from the Essilor Brand Sales Organization partnered with a volunteer group of eye care professionals to conduct eye screenings for the young people participating in Kidz at Sea, local school children and faculty, as well as elderly residents on the Caribbean islands of St. Maarten and Anguilla. Eye care is hard to come by on these islands as there is limited equipment and few eye care professionals. The Essilor Vision Foundation provided much of the screening equipment needed for the exams and donated all of the eyeglass frames. Essilor of America provided premium lenses and sun lenses.

Jay Binkowitz

"You cannot truly understand the emotional impact of a trip like this unless you have experienced it. Not only are we assuring that so many kids have the opportunity to learn and comprehend without the added disability of not being able to see, we are also helping adults be productive members of their community. Essilor is an amazing organization with great resources. I'm proud to have had the opportunity to participate and support what is clearly a genuine desire to make a difference in the world, one person at a time."
